She went through several difficulties that she knew how to face at the time and her life changed completely, she is currently an empowered woman who has given her life to fight for second chances for people who are in prison, she is recognized for her great achievements and is the role model of thousands of Colombians.
She cares about a sector of the population that has been forgotten and not only benefits the people deprived of liberty but also their families, she manages to change their lives, that makes her a great human being and a person who makes the difference, she gives them a second chance.
There are many reasons why Bahamón is considered a hero in Colombia, even in an interview her mother said that when she had this approach to the prisons she was at the highest point of her career in terms of the recognition, she decided to give up all the fame and began to generate opportunities to build a new history from which more than 30,000 people deprived of liberty have benefited and this is very surprising because not all people would be willing to do this.
Johana is a strong, passionate woman, she's married and she's a mom, actress and businesswoman, recognized as a CAFAM 2020 woman. Every day she fights to be a manager of second chances for the people who are in prison.
