Knowledge and Stories
My Grandfather was a pilot in the United States Airforce during World War II, he was just finishing training when the war ended so he never flew in combat.
When we went to Wyoming last year on vacation, we were able to view Yellowstone National Park. It was beautiful, but there was nothing around for hundreds of miles. The whole state of Wyoming has a population that's a little less than Nashville, and it really would have sucked to break down because there was no cell phone signal or help for hundreds of miles away.
For my 12th birthday, my Mom's friend was a helicopter pilot with the NYPD, there was a demonstration for FBI recruits of how the NYPD Aviation Unit does search and rescue in the Hudson River. My family were the only civilians there and we were able to see the whole thing. When everyone left, I was able to fly a NYPD Bell helicopter on a 3 Million Dollar similutaor; by far the best birthday I've ever had.
