CONDITIONAL SENTENCES AND WISHES
Overview of Basic Verb Forms Used in Conditional Sentences
Situation
Unreal in the present/future
ex: If I had enough time, I would watch TV now or later on.
Unreal in the past
ex: if I had had enough time, I would have watched TV yesterday.
Real in the present
Real in the future
ex: If I have enough tim, I watch TV every evening.
2.Expressing Real condition in the present or future
In conditional sentences that express real or true, factual ideas in the present/future, the simple present .
The simple present
Ex : if i don't eat breakfast,I always get hungry during class.
The simple present or the simple future, to express an established, predictable fact or general truth.
Ex : - Water freezes if the temperature reaches 32 F/0 C.
The simple future,to express a particular activity or situation in the future
.
Ex : If don’t eat breakfast tomorrow morning,I will get hungry during class.
Unreal ( contrary to fact ) in the present or future
ex:if i taught this class,i wouldn't give tests.
ex:If he were here right now, he would help us.

Real situation

6.Using "Mixed Time" in Conditional Sentences.
Real Situation

Condition Statement

7.Implied Conditions
Often the if-clause is implied, not stated. Conditional verbs are still used in the result clause.

8.Omitting If
With were, had (past perfect), and should, sometimes if is omitted, and the subject and verb are inverted.
Were I
