A) Direct Characterization- B) describes the character through their physical description, or passions/pursuits. EXAMPLE: She was a beautiful girl.
A) Indirect Characterization - B) the process of describing a character through their thoughts, actions, and speech. EXAMPLE: When he walked in the room, nobody could help but stare at him.
A) Literary Conflict - B) the result of competing a presence of obstacles that need to be overcome. EXAMPLE: Man vs. Man
A) Theme -B) Universal idea, lesson or message. (Main idea). EXAMPLE: Love, Justice, Family.
A) Symbolism -B) device that uses symbols, words, people, locations, or other things to represent something beyond the meaning. EXAMPLE: road signs , logos, emojis.
A) Motif - B) a symbolic image that appears frequently in a story. Can also be symbols, sounds, actions, etc. EXAMPLE: a heart being a symbol for love.
A) Plot - B) sequence of events where each affects the next one through the principle of cause-and-effect. EXAMPLE: weather, long adventure.
A) Tone - B) Is used in order to convey how the speaker or author is feeling. EXAMPLE:
A) Mood -B) the feeling created in the reader. EXAMPLE: Feeling cheerful, happy, etc.
