To what extent do you agree with the claim that "there's a world of difference truth and facts" (Maya Angelou)? Answer with reference to two areas of knowledge.

Difference: something that makes two or more things not the same
Truth: A piece of information though to be true by a person due to their beliefs
Facts: a thing that is known or proved to be true, often through observation and measurements from experiments
Natural sciences:
the difference between an observation in an experiment and the actual conclusion of it: as in why something
Facts are solid, concrete they can not be altered, every person has his/her own individual truth, what they perceive as true.
1st AOK: history: facts in history are solid, they can not be altered, there is no scope on debate. The truth is what people personally interpret, for example historians who look at specific works and then come up with their own personal conclusions from this work.
Can there be knowledge that is independent of culture? Discuss with reference to mathematics and one other area of knowledge.
Knowledge – facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education, the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Culture is the deep-rooted inherited beliefs that each person has
Independent:
unrelated, not deceased from, not directly related from, lack of coloration.
mathematics: a science of abstract numbers
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
different cultures coming up with the same formulas for example the Pythagorean theorem: there were the Chinese who came up with the Pythagorean theorem, but also the Europeans, more specifically the Greek came up with the same theory
You need to make a clear distinction of what different cultures are, as in what sets them apart, where do certain cultures overlap?
Natural Sciences:
Is there solid justification for regarding knowledge in the natural sciences more highly than knowledge in another area of knowledge? Discuss with reference to the natural sciences and one other area of knowledge.
Natural sciences – the branch of knowledge that deals with the study of the physical world. incluiding: physics, chemistry or biology
Knowledge – facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education, the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Justification: the act or an instance of proving to be just, right, or reasonable
Human sciences: the study of people and their actions
