what is the problem?
The affordability ratio of spacing and pricing is far too high. The house marketing agents are building flats that match the financial ability of residents. That's why each flat is getting tighter and not to mention the limited space in Hong Kong.
when did the problem occurred?
it all started in 1920s when many mainland Chinese people rushed into Hong Kong and led to serious shortage of housing.
where did it happen?
it happens in Hong Kong where there are limited lands for residential areas and housing.
why does it happen?
firstly because citizens are unable to financially afford private housing, about 3.3 million people, 44.7 per cent of the population live in public housing.
second, about 280,000 people live in subdivided flats or other similarly undesirable conditions which is located in old buildings.
third, the pricing of Hong Kong's house are rising quickly and is one of the highest in the world.
who is the affected audience?
Hong Kong citizens who are struggling to live in a new flat. People who are below the poverty line. Citizens who live in a very tight space flat.
how can we solve it?
Hong Kong government shouldn't have too strict restrictions on mortgage as now the market is selling smaller flats every time since it is easier to manage.
target audience: Hong Kong citizens
problem statement: there exists a problem in the society where Hong Kong has limited lands for residential areas, the pricing of the house is rising rapidly and people living in subdivided flats who are unable to financially afford private house. This problem all started in 1920s when many mainland Chinese people rushed into Hong Kong and led to serious shortage of housing. Our target audience are all of the Hong Kong citizens especially for the families who are below the poverty line. Living in a tight house is very uncomfortable for people.
problems: 1. shortage of land causes each flat to become smaller and smaller. 2. some people are unable to financially afford to pay for flats 3. the living areas for families are very tight 4. the pricing of the residential houses in rising fast and expensive.
