Read the Abstract first, then discussion, intro, results, methods
Are there errors in the results such as wrong statistical interpretations ? Do the results make sense? Does data match up with the question?
Introductions go from general to specific study to question

Some scientific articles cite other articles which can be used to reduce search time
Look for main points
Abstract is a short summary of the paper.
Intro provides background, provides article topic,
Methods gives a detailed review of how research was conducted. If there are some questionable parts, it might be a good idea to disregard the paper.
Results is where what was found is stated, statistical analysis happens here.
Discussion: impact of study, importance, data interpretation, potential future studies

Extended abstract
Give topic of research first and context. Next, talk about how the study was carried out. Describe and discuss the meaning of the results.
Check for any flaws in experimental procedure. Were the findings correctly interpreted? Was there sufficient background info? Is the paper grammatically correct?
