Part of closing out a project can include verification from other process groups that work is complete, all changes requests have been approved/denied, invoicing is complete and customer/stakeholder acknowledges receipt of 100% billing, procurement has been completed and purchase orders have been billed and paid in full, and all closeout paperwork required by the stakeholders/customers has been satisfactorily completed.

The execution phase may generate requests, modify management plans, and new baselines. An example oh this phase can be made in the process of building a home. The duration of this project could be 4+ months. It is important that the builder have regular check ins with the buyer (stakeholder) to ensure a modified plan is made based on change requests.
