Apply direct pressure for 15-20 minutes, have patient breath through mouth, apply ice pack

Avoid blowing your nose too forcefully. Sneeze through an open mouth. Always sneeze into tissue or into the bend of your arm. Avoid putting anything solid into your nose, including fingers

Broken Instrument Tip
Signs: Tip will be missing from the end of the instrument upon removal from the patients oral cavity.
Symptoms: Patient may state that they feel something lodged between their teeth or in their gingival tissue
