Was recognized as a skilled sculptor and his family accepted him as an artist after his work the Pieta
His most loved brother and his father died around the same time which caused him much grief
He loved watching the man of the family that took care of him because he chiseled in stone
Continued to create with big ideas to the very end incorporating his faith into his beautiful art
Mother was very sick so was raised by a wet nurse

Studied under Lorenzo the Magnificent where he explored his talent for sculpting
Faith was influenced by Savonorola who rejected the new age thinking. This shows in his Sistine Chapel painting
Created the tomb of Pope Julius II and painted the Sistine Chapel for him
Worked with Domenico Ghirlandaio in the Sistine Chapel in Rome
He painted a fresco for Pope Paul III on the wall behind the altar of the Sistine Chapel
