        Shia is more liberal (Ali and the Imams are the only rightful successors of Muhammad).
      - Only 3% of all Muslims are extremists.
        
        ISIS & Al-Qaeda (terrorist groups) practice Sunni.
        
        Osama Bin Laden founded Al-Qaeda & was the overseer of 9/11.
        
        Extremist groups interpret the Sharia Laws in an unjust way (they believe in Jihad, which is defined as “to war against all non-Muslims to establish their religion”.
        
        September 11th, 2001.
        
        There were 4 planes hijacked.
        
        Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
        
        Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
        
        Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
        
        Flight 93 was likely headed towards the US Capitol, but was prevented by the passengers onboard, resulting in the plane crashing in rural Pennsylvania.
        
        A total of 2,996 people died from the 9/11 attacks.
        
        The extremists believe they must kill all non-Muslims (most of which are Americans) for their god Allah & to fulfill Jihad.
        
        Islamic extremists believe it's their God-given duty to follow Jihad, kill non-Muslims & homosexuals & disobeying Muslims, and possess genuine control over women's lives.
        
        Hundreds of other attacks like bombings in Kenya, warships, concerts, US Embassy buildings, and even the basement of the Twin Towers years before 9/11.
        
        They believe women should possess extremely limited rights, must adhere to males, & can't display 99% of their skin.
        
        Islamic Extremism is the interpretation of the Sharia Laws in unjust & inhuman ways.
        
        The poem "This is Not My Islam" informs people that the majority of Muslims aren't extremists (although the media tends to focus on the extremists). It continues to state how they unrightfully interpreted the Sharia Laws to their advantage/desire, abusing their power and attacking other Muslims & non-Muslims, causing us to become intimidated by them. It further describes how both of us have the same common enemy, and that we need to collaborate & defeat them together to restore peace.
      - There are 2 branches of Islam since Muslims couldn't agree who is successor of their religion after Muhammed died.
