The shape is also very important because if the shape is wierd and wonderful it will attract mroe customers

The materials have to be cheap

The gender of the target market. You can make it male or female orientated or unisex.
The age of the target market can also vary as an elderly person would like something different to someone who is middle aged or just entered adulthood.
The amount of money the target also matters as someone may want to look at the prices of the product before buying it.
Cost
As you are in a gift shop the price will be slightly higher than normal such as £5-10
The materials must be cheap.
Size
It has to be big enough to be seen from about 10 -20 m away
It has to be smaller than 10 cm as it has to fit in a pocket

It should also be recylable so that when it is time to throw away then it be reused after being stripped for materials.
The materials that are used, if not recyclable must be biodegradable.

Any other safety concerns have to be warned about with the product.
