        So for most marriages the nika and Walima happens on the same day. the purpose of nika is to make the relationship official and the walima is to announce that to everyone. So do you know what the requirement of nika is? | Not really
        
        So there needs to be 4 things involved. The consent from wali, the Mahr, and 2 witnesses. doesn't that sound a lot less stressful then holding a huge celebration with 100s of people? | Yes
        
        So now friends and family don't need to know that you are getting married and so you don't have to worry about judgement and the only obstacle is parents ya? | mhm
- - - - Well, I believe that society has increased the barrier to halal relationships and lowered the barrier to haram ones, in fact, the prophet (s) says "Holding on to islam will be as hard as holding on a burning coal. Would you like to know how I would make it less of a commitment? | YES
        
        Talk about how approaching a relationship like how the non-muslims does and we do the same but only after the Nika and after a few years we can do the Walima. Then ask how does that sound.

        Well, let me ask you which one would Allah favor the one where his slaves are perusing a relationship that's within the boundaries or one that is outside the boundaries?
        
        Then why you choosing the one that is cursed over one that isn't?

        Well from my perspective I see only 2 options, one is to own up to your insecurities and find out if he is open to it or 2 pick from the choices that you have. So what would it be?

        So there is few ways we are mitigating the risks
        
        1) The wali will be judging if the dude is right for you, who will be looking at it from a logical point of view and not be bothered by feelings or emotions. And also when the dude hears that you want your dad involved they ones that are playing games will run cuz they are not in it for the long game
        
        2) The dude needs to pay the mahar which is a amount of money/ gifts/ Jewelry or other things that you may want and if he can't pay that then he doesn't get to be with you which shows that he is not serious enough and just wants to play around.
        
        3) You will be judging him based on the relationship he has with his creator so are they praying their salah, fasting, are they good to their parents and so on. The reason why that will help is because If the dude fears Allah and does all the things that are required of him, he would not play games with you cuz he knows the consciousness of his actions
        
        4) Lets say you are a practicing Muslim and so You would judge him base on his piousness and if he is doing what is asked of him and just being a good Muslim you are making sure that a lot of your interest are the same because All the haram activities you both don't like, All the activates the prophet promotes you like, All the activites that get you to grow as a human being in this life and the next you like cuz Allah wants you to be better than you are yesterday. Where else can you find this many commonalties?
    - - Well you realize that taking it slow it kind of the same thing as dating because in Islam you are not suppose to talk to an opposite gender for a prolonged amount of time and it will only be allow if the Wali is present in all conversations including the late night fajr reminders lol
