Racial and ethnic subcultures are often created as a response to the injustices faced by minority groups, such as police brutality, hate crimes, and wealth inequalities, and many more adversities. Some examples of today's racial subcultures or subcultures that are dominated by racial minorities include but are not limited too, Afro-futurism, Hip Hop culture, BLM activists, and gangs.
Arguably all of the racial subcultures are untied by the commonality that they are oppressed in America. The racial subcultures cope with this by using the past to create a brighter future for African Americans using art and media (Afro-futurism), or by protesting in the streets and raising their voices on social media, (BLM activists), whichever the subculture, they are all motivated by the common oppression they are burdened with, I think the video below helps to describe the motives behind each subculture, and provide evidence to prove it.

One of the most interesting racial subcultures to me are gangs. Under the gangs tab in the resource below, the author describes the motives and origins of gangs. Gangs are widely recognized as criminal and deviant, largely by fault of the government in attempts of social control. Groups like the Black Panthers stirred up social change in response to the issues presented to the left, and were then radicalized and criminally labeled by the government.
