To create an airworthy body of a plane along with control surfaces
Wings (1)
Decide airfoil shape and wing size based off research 1.1
Print out template with size wanted and try out a few different cut point plans 1.2
Decide which will work best to give desired shape whilst maintaining structural integrity 1.3
Cut base and cutting points test every cutting point to make sure I reach the angle I want 1.4
Cut out airfoil shapes, glue on and cut and glue support beam to provide more strength and more gluing area 1.5
Fold over wing, check angle and glue 1.6
Add control surface and servo horns 1.7
Test and make any necessary adjustments 1.8
Landing Gear (2)
Decide size and shape and material based off research 2.1
Purchase metal cut to the specific size 2.2
Bend the metal to desired angle 2.3
Drill hole large enough to fit metal rod through 2.4
Create stoppers and attach the wheels 2.5
Fuselage (3)
Using research and based off the size and shape of the wings landing gear and electrical equipment needed to go inside decide the dimensions of the fuselage 3.1
Draw out possible design diagrams to create the shape I have decided on 3.2
Check that the chosen design does not have any weak points for example, joins all at the same point 3.3
Cut and glue foamboard to create design 3.4
Create strong hold for the motor then fit all electronic components securely into the fuselage 3.5
Tail and Elevator (4)
Based off research and the size of the back of the fuselage create design diagram 4.1
Copy this across to foamboard and cut and glue it securely 4.2
Attach servo horn for the servos to the back of the elevator and test 4.3
Make any necessary adjustments 4.4
Rudder (5)
Based of the size of the tail and research draw up a design diagram 5.1
Copy over to foamboard and cut and glue the rudder on 5.2
Add extra foamboard at the front of the rudder to stabilize it 5.3
Add servo horn and test the rudder 5.4
Make any necessary adjustments 5.5
