My abuelita has been one of my families biggest supporters. She takes care of every new baby in the family and helps everyone as much as possible. My abuelita doesnt have to make any promises to me, instead she chooses to love me and my family unconditionally through her actions. By watching us, cooking, taking us places, my abuelita is truly one of my biggest supporters and dearest friends.

Cousins dont really make promises to each other but Yasmin specifically makes sure that Im not bored at any family event. We're the same age and Im glad because I have someone to hang out with at parties thats not a five year old boy who watches cocomelon on full volume with his crusty, sticky ipad.
Nandini Datta (Friend)

Nandini is one of my new friends at Moreau, and her promise to me is to make sure that I'm social and am emotionally ok at all times. Nandini does this through checking in on me and being there for me in class and in mock trial. She always brightens my day with her contagious energy and laughter.
James Mira (Friend)

James is my friend, classmate, and mock trial teammate. James's promise to me is to always help me in the best way he can while simultaneously being there for me. He honors his promise by always asking me how I'm doing, checking in and making sure i understand everything thats happening.
Arianna Rivera (Friend)
Arianna and I have been friends since fifth grade, and we've made many promises to each other over the years. One of our promises is to always be there for each other, even though we go to different schools. We carry out our promise by talking to each other all the time and hang out.

I met Aolanni three years ago in the summer of 2019 while doing mock trial at camp here in Moreau. We've been friends ever since and she doesn't have to make a promise, because we mutually understand that friendship isn't something one person does for another, but the way you connect and get along. That being said she carries out her "promise" by always being there for me when I need her most.
Rosario Guerrero (Mom)

A mothers promises are numerous, the main ones being her kids are safe and happy. My mom follows through spectacularly on her promise by being a stay at home mom. She takes us everywhere and does everything with me and my brother.

Gustavo Guerreo (Dad)
A specific promises my dad makes to me is to always provide for our family, make sure we have the essentials, and be there for us. He puts his promise to action by working all the time and also spending time with us when he can.
Natalia Guerrero (Me)
A promise I make to myself each and every day is to be the best person possible, and try to expand my thinking. Like I say in the video, I don't want to be the person in the future that hasn't grown out of who they were years ago. Growth is an important concept to me, and thats why every day I try to look at things from a different perspective.
