        Feroz Shah is more famous for commissioning buildings of architectural shapes that were seen as unconventional during his era. He is also considered the father of the irrigation system in India for channelizing rivers to provide water through canals to a large part of the country.
        
        British called Firoz Shah as the father of the irrigation department, he built many canals between Sutlej river and Ghaggar river, Yamuna and Hissar city and so on. He established a separate department for slaves and constructed Sarais which is a rest house for merchants and traders.

        Muiz ud din Qaiqabad (reigned 1287– 1 February 1290) was the tenth sultan of the Mamluk dynasty (Slave dynasty). He was the son of Bughra Khan the Independent sultan of Bengal, as well as grandson of Ghiyas ud din Balban (1266–87).
