Brainstorming
Lead in
It is obvious that performing was always a passion of mine. But that passion grew immensely in college.
Taking 20 credits a semester, being in Main Stage shoes at Temple. PLUS taking classes with theater companies in Philly
-
Taking the bus to NYC all the time to see shows, take classes and auditions.

Discussion
-
Introduce the feeling of running. The feeling of constantly running from my your survival job to auditions to rehearsals to shows. It is never ending.
-
It was so exhausting just getting a gig. It was hard to enjoy the show you were in because you needed to start worrying about the next one.
So far I have only discussed the logistics. But the theater business is so much more. The social aspect place a huge part of it. You need to be networking all time. If you are not around, you are forgotten about. So it is keeping up with all the opening nights and fundraisers. Constantly being "on."

A little about me
Grew up in Allentown, PA. Like Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street.

Conclusion

-
I later realized I was extremely burnt out. I was going NONSTOP for about 5 years. After graduation, I no longer had the structure of school work to keep me practicing. I no longer had the guidance from my professors.
Not to mention learning how to be an adult. The old I got the more I realized I would never truly be happy pursing theater as my main career. So I recently started pursing another passion of mine, admissions. After I was a tour guide at temple, it was always in my 10 year plan. Thanks to the pandemic it became my 5 year plan. To outsiders, it would look that I landed a dream job but why does it still feel like something is missing.

Design Thinking
Ideate
I challenged if you could ever be truly happy while having your positive obsession as your primary career.
Prototype
Not only was I telling a story through my words of the podcast, I used music to tell a story as well. Each song and lyric was purposefully chosen to relate to what was being said in the podcast.
Define
I provided an escape by painting the picture of my positive obsession. I helped them step into the world of theater a bit as an outsider.
Test
I shared it with a few close friends and their reactions were "Is there a podcast in your future???"
Empathise
I discussed my project with fellow actors. Ones who are still pursing in and those who have taken a break like myself.

The significance of the peer review process, including your ability to revise your work.
I believe the peer review process was incredibly important in this course. It allowed us to connect with each other more and also learn from each other. I loved seeing my peers' projects. I learned about systems and design tools that I never would have known about otherwise.
The feedback from my peers allowed me to question specific aspects of my project which helped me develop them even further.
