        1) 2 groups are on the same side of the double bond. 2) The steric repulsion of groups makes cis-isomers less stable. 3) Dipole moment is greater. 4) More solubility in polar solvents.
      - TRANS-ISOMERS
        
        1) 2 groups are on the different side of the double bond. 2) The steric repulsion of the groups dos not make it unstable because the bulky groups are far apart from each other. 3) Dipole moment is less. 4) Less solubility in polar solvents.
  - - - Dextrorotatory Isomers: The isomers that rotate in clockwise direction.
      - Leavorotatory Isomers: The isomers that rotate in anticlockwise direction.
