One thing that is most definitely apparent when it comes to climate change is the affect it has on the weather and countries that depend on the weather in order to prosper. Tropical storms for example, largely contribute to issues for those in developing countries and create detrimental, long-lasting effects. When a country lives through a tropical storm it leaves people helpless and in need of support so it becomes an issue for those countries to develop when they are constantly being brought down by storms that are becoming more frequent.

Fighting climate change is no easy task and the cost to invest in environmentally friendly energy sources are not cheap. This poses as another barrier for developing countries for they are unable to stop practices that are easier and cheaper to operate. Although developing countries contribute the least to climate change, they are the ones who are effected the worst. If these practices continue, it will only hurt the countries working so hard to reach the next stage in demographic transition.

Many developing countries generally depend on agriculture as their main food source so when droughts happen excessively, when fires rage, and when flood water fills their land clearly it does nothing to help the amount of crops they produce or positively their way of life. This directly affects their income because these people live off of their harvest whether that be to feed their families or to sell to others. As one might be able to gather, climate change has a ripple effect and stops the progression of everything, not one thing specifically.
