Causes
DI
Hyperglycemia
Fistula drainage
GI Loss (ex. Vomiting, Diarrhea)
Diuresis
Hemorrhage
Clinical manifestations

Decreased in stroke volume
Tachypnea
Decrease in urinary output
Anxiety
Management
Stop loss of fluid and restore circulating volume
Fluid resuscitation is calculated using 3:1 rule
If loss is >30%, blood volume is replaced
(3ml of isotonic crystalloid for every 1 ml of estimated blood loss)
Low Blood Flow!!
Diagnosis is made after a loss of 15% intravascular volume.
