Basic approach is to 1. Identify the big inquiry/essential question, 2. figure out a real-world, meaningful task to do (kind of like an assessment, right?) and then 3. figure out the day to day things (activities, lessons, etc.) that will help students be able to do meaningful work on the end, real-world tasks
This seems like an incredibly useful and important way to "do" curriculum planning. It seems like it has a lot of potential for being open to interdisciplinary connections as well. I like that it sees assessment as a real-world opportunity for students that allow them to meaning-make.
