Mesopotamia
Location On page 6, it said ''the most of ancient
mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq.'' Mesopotamia is located in between two rivers flowing through the Middle East. (Steele)
Writing:On page 12 it says that it was started as the first cities arose and required legal ownership documents. During the time they used the cuneiform version of writing.

Art On page 28 the author stated They were molding clay to simple pots.
Religion: The Sumerians were very religious people as stated on page 13"The sumerians worshiped many gods and goddesses.They believed that the stars traveling across the night sky were the cows of sin or Nanna the horned moon god". They also had many statues of their gods that they believed in. (Steele)
Architecture: On page 24 it says that The ziggurats represented a mountain, stretching from earth to the heavens they looked similar to stepped pyramids of Ancient egypt. ![images (13)]

Government On page 10 it said Sumerian rulers enjoyed great power and fame and their deeds were remembered for centuries (steele)
Ancient Egypt
Religion: On page 24 it says that the Egyptians worship many different gods and goddesses It also says that the gods are represented by animal statues(HART)
Architecture: I read on page 20 that the first pyramid was built as the burial place of king Djoser in c. 2650 BCE, by his gifted architect Imhotep (pp 34-35) it rose in six stages and is called the step pyramid (Hart)
Art: On page 56 it says that "Egyptian jewelers had acess to many semiprecious stones from the deserts orange-red carnelian, green feldspar, and mauve amethyst. this means that there were many jewels around ancient egypt.
Location: On page 8 it says that the desert covers more than 90 percent of egypt which means that egypt is mainly desert. (HART)
Writing: Page 34 said Scribes had to be exports in writig hieroglyphics, an elaborate form of picture-writing with about 700 different signs. I was deliberatly kept complicatedso that not too many people could master it and the scribes kept there special position (Hart)
Government: On page 10 it says that "The King was not only the most powerful and important man in egypt he was thought to be a god." this means that the king meant everything at the time in Ancient egypt.(Hart)
Art) On page 56 it said "China has always been renowned for its exquisite arts and crafts. The art was used on statues and wall painting sometimes in very important places.( Cortell)
Location On page 2 it said "Ancient china remains untouched by outside influences because it was a world apart. VAst deserts and mountain ranges cut off china from other cultures in india, and west asia, and Europe and many hundreds of years have passed before chinese realized that other civilizations existed." This shows us there location by describing what is around them. (Cortell
Writing on page 11 it said, that the bones were either tortise bones or oxe bone that got burned. the shang kings used the oracle bones to answer important questions. The burnt shell created cracks which answered the questions presented.(Cotterell)
Government On page 40 it says "In general wealthy people and government officials lived at one end of the town and the poor lived at the other." There government was a monarchy. (Cotterell)
Trade/Commerce They used trade to get the things they need and get rid of the things they didnt need.
Religion On page 26 it says "In imperial china religious beliefs were divided into the "THree ways" of confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism.
Architecture/technology On page 42 it said " These enclosed urban communities were centers of government and the power of the authorities was reinforced by town planning." This show how secure there buildings and walls were to keep it safe enough to hold the government and authorities (Cotterell)
Indus Valley
Location In the text, it states that around 5,000 years ago civilization developed along Indus River alluvial plain. We also read how settlements were built across the banks of the river. Also the Indus plain is surrounded by desert, mountains, and oceans.

Writing "In the text it says that one of the most confusing aspects of this ancient civilization is that the writing cannot be deciphered. Over 400 hundred symbols have been uncovered from different locations."quote. Also some people have wondered whether these are consulted of a writing system.

Architecture/Technology In the text I read "The people within the Indus valley created well planned cities." They built traditional houses in the valley. The valley was extremely well planned and had large building with straight streets. !

Religion On the site I read that "The Aryans came from an area of Central Asia near the Caucasus Mountains" quote. Also they spoke a language called sanskrit. As well as that there religion is hinduism, they got this religion from the Aryans.

Government I read that "A caste is a social group in which people are born and cannot change. This means that the government is not decided by the people it stays in one family forever. This is different than others because the people dont get to decide.
