Writing:On page 12 "people who lived as hunters and nomads didn't have a written record. At first their writing was just photos". They had a lot of photos.(Steele)
Architecture:On page 24 they are a very long lasting piece of memorabilia and a symbol of importance. They were stretching from heaves and were called ziggurats.
Art:On page 44 it says "As the centuries,passed hunting for food still continued in wetlands,forests and mountains. The animals used in these ritual hunts had to be worthy opponents." (Steele)

Religion. On page 14: it says they melisu and believe in ghost and spirits.They were used a temple on the inside. They believed that the stars were cows and they constantly moved.

Commerce/Trade: On page 58 it says The mongol emperors ruled China 1279-1368 and permitted merchants to trade freely. They Controlled the entire length of the silk road.A Series of trade routes came out of Asia. (Cortell )
Religion: On page 12 it says Confucius saw only growing disorder. The kings authority was greatly reduced and as ambitious leaders fought .The outlined person needed to be kind and strong. (Cortell)
Writing:On Page 11 it says The Shang Kings used oracle bones to consult their ancestors. They would scratch into the bone questions and then put it over a fire. It would crack and give them answers.(Cortell)
Location:On page 40 it says China was dotted with walled towns and cities.Markets were usually on the main roads by buildings.But years later they built they empire and many other towns and cities.

Indus Valley
Writing: In the text it says many of the basic symbols they use are on seals, pots, and others. Some people wonder if it is used as a proper writing system. Religion:In/On the text "the religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism" In Indus Valley they believed in the Aryans which were ancient people. Location: On the website "The Indus River Valley covers most of modern-day Pakistan, the northwestern region of modern-day India, and a small portion of Afghanistan." In the 1920's under many many layers of dirt they discovered the remains of 4,000 year old artifacts.
