Indus Valley
location The Indus Valley region was a region rich in fertile soil, ideal for agriculture. The Indus plain is surrounded by high mountains, desert, and ocean.
architecture/technology The people within the Indus Valley created well-planned cities. Specifically, the people during this time cared deeply about hygiene, and their cities resembled the importance of this idea. These early cities show remnants of the world's earliest sanitation system. With the cities, people could obtain water from wells. Also, within many homes, some rooms had facilities in which waste water was directed to cover drains and these lined the major streets. This was VERY advanced for the time.
