Government: On page 18 the author states the earliest members to the dynasty were recruited from Gaozu. Also, he states that 140-87 b.c Wu Di examined civil servants, also through this time confucius was formed and picked up. This information shows us that the government has had many different rulers with many different ideas. (Cotterell)

always been known for its arts and crafts.

of society. Also the author states that in the
past they used raw materials to make terracotta

Architecture /technology: On page 28 the author states at the time china invented paper, printing, and gunpowder and traded through the silk road. Also, they state that some of the greatest inventions have come from or been inspired from Asia. Some of the important historical inventions include paper money, compass, silk, wheelbarrow, kites, and more.
Writing: On page 11, it said an ox bone or tortoiseshell was scorched over fire until it cracked.The Shang kings used the oracle bones to get advice from their ancestral spirits. The answer to their questions were shown on the bones with various cracks. (Cotterell

Trade/commerce: On page 58 the author states "international trade thrived because there was no threat of danger" Also the author states that the silk road goes from northern china all across asia. Religion: In the text the author states the religion that they follow was Brahmanism which is highly influenced by Hinduism. Also in the text the author states that the people followed a sacred writing called the Vedas. As well as that, the author states that they believe in 2 major collections of literature Mahabharata and Ramayana. Government: In the text the author wrote "The Aryan civilization had a large impact on modern-day India society.
