ancient egypt

writing: on page 12 the text says that people back then used clay spheres to document their store profit. the tool that they used was called a stylus. they used the stylus to right on the clay tablets.(Steele) image

location: on page 6 it said that the people of mesopotamia arose between the tigris and euphrates rivers. the land was surrounded by the fertile crescent, which was excellent for farming. (Steele) image

religion: on page 24 the text states that the egyptians were polytheistic or in other words they believed in more than one god.fun fact almost all of there gods were based off of animals.(Hart) image

art: the art that the egyptians made was odd in my opinion but is was still well drawn. it represented most of what they believed in and there past.(Hart) image

government: in the text it states that there is a king aka tha pharaoh which is not only known as the king he is also known as a god. (Hart) image

writing: most of their hyroglifics are drawings of things they've seen such as birds snakes people. their way of writing was very interesting.(pg 34)(Hart) image

location: the text states that they are a few miles off the nile river. most of where they lived is bairen and humid.(Hart/8) image

agriculture: the egyptians had a unique build stile that must have taken decades to build. for example the pyramid of giza.it is one of the most impressive build from that time.(Hart) image

art: On page 28 the pottery art that's shown has a lot of triangles on the peace. from other parts of the art world they were very rich, so much so that they mad real gold necklaces.(Steele) image

architecture: On page 24 the text explains that they were a very complex tribe. They built plenty of homes and temples, for example a ziggurat. A ziggurat has a flat top and a sloped edge, at the top is where they worshiped their gods.(Steele) image

religion: On page 14 in the text in explains that the mesopotamians were polytheistic, which means that they believed in more than one god. for example one god they believed in was the moon god. they thought that a crescent moon was the moon god's boat.(Steele) image

government: they had established a stable but chaotic government that most of the time had unjust consequences.

Ancient China

location: The civilization of ancient China first developed in the Yellow River region of northern China, in the 3rd and 2nd millennia BCE. government: In Ancient China the government was run by the civil service. There were thousands of civil servants throughout the empire who reported in to the Emperor. The top civil servants were ministers who reported directly to the Emperor and worked in the palace. trading:The Chinese have always traded goods among themselves. Indus river valley

location: The Harappan civilization was located in the Indus River valley. Its two large cities, Harappa and Mohenjo-daro, were located in present-day Pakistan's Punjab and Sindh provinces, respectively. Its extent reached as far south as the Gulf of Khambhat and as far east as the Yamuna (Jumna) River.

architecture/technology: There was a very complicated and well kept concept of town planning in the Indus Valley Civilization. From the excavated remains, it is clear that it possessed a growing urban architecture. There were well-planned grids with broad main roads and smaller lanes joining at right angles.

writing: The Indus Script is the writing system developed by the Indus Valley Civilization and it is the earliest form of writing known in the Indian subcontinent.

religion: The Indus Valley religion is polytheistic and is made up of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. There are many seals to support the evidence of the Indus Valley Gods.

government:The government in the Indus Valley was a monarchy, monarchy is a form of government in which supreme authority is vested in a single and usually hereditary figure, such as a king The Indus Valley people called their kings, rajahs. Citadel: a barrier of a civilization to protect it from invasions and natural disasters.
