Good morning/afternoon, Miss Tina and classmates. Today we will go through the various text types and social media content; In general, the test types have two categories: Factual texts and Literary texts. The Factual texts inform, persuade and instruct through the use of facts and information. Also, factual texts have six (6) parts and, the discussion texts have explored more than one point of view on a given subject to reach an informed opinion or make a decision on an issue. Explanatory texts move beyond providing straightforward descriptions to looking at things like causes and reasons. They move beyond the retelling of what happened. Like in a simple report, to address the why and how of what happened, instructional/procedural communicate rules or processes to follow. In accompanying games, household appliances, or recipes, etc., they are commonly found here. In some ways, instructional/procedural texts are similar to explanatory texts. The main difference is that while instructional/procedural texts tell you what to do. While explanatory texts describe something, persuasion texts/opinion writing is to convince the reader of the merits of adopting a particular viewpoint or taking a specific course of action non-chronological reports are given information and detail about something that happened. But without being tied to providing a linear account in terms of time, recounts focus on retelling events and are generally intended to inform or entertain. The purpose of Literary text types is to inform, entertain, or evoke emotion. Literary texts use creative language and structure. The sections divide into three (3). Entertain, inform, share knowledge, pass on culture, advance culture, etc., are the objectives to write in Poetry. Poetry comes in many forms. Sometimes these forms come with their specific purposes. The narrative tells us a story, drama endeavors to tell a story through enacting it on the stage. Usually requires the use of dialogue as a primary means of moving the story on. Social media content entirely moving on to social media depends on the success of the content you post. Produces effective, high-performing content and also is broken down into twelve (12) parts. 1) Written posts, blogs, articles, guides demonstrate the knowledge and expertise of your Company, which can help build your credibility and reputation. 2) Electronic books (eBooks) tend to be longer and more detailed than blog posts, which helps showcase your industry expertise. 3) Links to external content can always link you to relevant articles, resources, and websites from other sources that you trust. Industry leaders are also excellent resources for content. 4) Images, good images increase engagement, and they endear your brand to customers. 5) Videos, capturing videos is easy and convenient and, they are more engaging than pictures. How-to guides, video tours, and product updates and demonstrations all make for great video content that can drive traffic to your website and increase sales. 6) Video stories or stories are images and short videos that last 24 hours before disappearing for good. They are available on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. Keep users updated about events, offers, or other announcements, 7) Live videos are a great medium to bring events to audiences that are not physically able to attend.
Unlike stories, which are gone after 24 hours, you can still watch live streams later. Infographics use visuals to support explanations, statistics, and other written concepts. 9) Testimonials and reviews, people trust the opinions and experiences of others more than what a business says, which is why testimonials and reviews are so valuable. 10) Announcements, getting the word out about new products, events, live streams, and other noteworthy things can help build hype and alert people about what is happening with your business. 11) Contests because people like to win, social media contests are engaging and fun to host. 12) Holidays, many users love holiday-themed content, and it is easy for businesses like yours to piggyback on themes, traditions, and other holiday-specific concepts.
