There are different types of text types that are used in social media today. we enlisted seven different types of text types that are commonly used in social media
The use of images. When we use images, we can ensure that by using visual content we can increase the engagement of people who wants to buy our product.
The use of Posts, blogs, and etc. When we write posts, blogs, and other materials that can be shared through social media, it exposes your company to other people which can help your company to grow it's credibility and reputation
The use of eBooks. By using eBooks, you can write detailed information which helps the readers to have an idea and also have the understanding to know what is going on in your company/industry
Using videos. When we use videos, we are able to show more information about our company/the product we are selling in a more entertaining way. Also, videos are more engaging than pictures which is what we want
An infographic is a collection of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic. It is important for the consumer to have a summary of what is going on and for them to also have an idea
Contests. When we put up contests, people are most likely to join because joining contests and winning price is fun for them. By doing this, people are more likely to engage with it.

What are the main text types?
There are many text types we encounter in our daily lives. It can be found in a article, Newspaper, forum post etc. All of these text types have their unique features that makes them different. So its easier to understand will divide into categories.
Literary Text
literary discreption
This text explains the features of something. It also helps the readers to form images in their minds.
literary recount
Either real or fictional, it is used to retell a series of event that involves characters and settings.
narrative text
Writing that relates a series of events, includes both fiction and non-fiction. It tells stories through metaphors, use of imagery and symbols.
personal response text
This enables readers to relate to a text and to reflect on their own reading processes.
review text
It contains ratings/reviews of works such as movie, video game, book and etc.
Factual Text
Explanatory text:
Explanatory text provides more than what is intended and giving more information about a subject
Instructional/procedural text:
Instructional/procedural text communicate rules and procedures we have to follow.
Persuasion text/opinion writing:
Persuasion text/opinion writing is to convince the reader of the merits of adopting a particular viewpoint or taking a specific course of action.
Non-chronological reports:
Non chronological reports gives information about what happened but, isn't in time order.
Recounts:
Recounts are retelling of events for entertainment purposes
Discussion text:
Discussion text is a way to get information about a certain subject by exploring multiple point of view.
