What is a Pure Substance?Pure Substances do not contain any impurities in it. They consist of only one substance.
Impure Substances can lower the melting point and raise the boiling point.
Pure Substances can be used:
To test the purity of other substances.
To check the identity of unknown substances.
Examples of an Impure Substance
A Glass of Water with salt added
Muddy Water
Sand mixed in water.
