Step 2: Slump Test
- Place the cone on a hard non-absorbent surface.
- Fill the cone with fresh concrete in three (3) layers approximately 100mm thick.
- Each time, each layer is tamped 25 times with a tamping .
- At the end of the third layer, the concrete is struck off flush with the top of the mould.
- Level the top surface of the concrete with a trowel.
- Lift the mould vertically upwards .
- Record the slump of the concrete by measuring the distance from the top of the slumped concrete
to the level of the top of the slump cone.

- Repeat Step 1 – 7 another 2 times to obtain the average value.
- Repeat the Step 1- 8 using different Water : Cement Ratio
