VAGINAL FISTULA
Pathophysiology
The head of the fetus compresses the trigone or the bladder neck against the anterior arch of the pubic symphysis. This may result in tissue ischemia, necrosis, and eventual fistula formation.
Nursing management
Encourage good personal hygeine
Provide effective deodarants for odour elimination
Advice on proper nutritional foods
Adcice the patient to take regular exercise
Apply heat compressors to promote circulation in the affected area to facilitate healing
Refer for Proffesional counselling
Causes
Injury, infection, surgery, radiation therapy and giving birth

Colporrhaphy and perineorrhapy
Defination
An abnormal opening that connect the vagina to another opening such as the bladder, colon or a rectum.

Control BP and restore perfusion to the kidney.

Percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty can be the procedure of choice especially in older patoents who are poor surgical risks

It occurs due to atherosclerosis narrowing or fibromuscular hyperplasia

Defination
Cancer of the kidneys that occurs when a healthy cell in one or both kidneys grow out of control and form a lump which is called a tumour. A tumour may be benign or malignant
Nursing management
Administer analgesics as prescribed by the doctor
Radiation and chemotherapy
Minimise the patient's anxiety by counselling in time of severe stress
Assess and monitor closely for signs of pulmonary, neurologic and liver dysfunction
Monitor anemia and polycethemia
Clinical manifestations
No early symptoms but later they may cause symptoms by compressing , stretching or invading structures near the kidney or within
Flank pain, palpable mass in the flank or abdomen
Hematuria
Weightloss, fever, hypertension and anemia
