Is a fracture composed of at least two fracture lines that together isolate a segment of bone, usually a portion of the diaphysis of a long bone
The overlying skin is disrupted, and the broken bone is in communication with the environment via a skin wound. Closed: The overlying skin is intact.
High energy direct trauma
Soft tissue injuries
Osteoportion
Swelling on injured area
Redness and bruising in the injured area
Difficult supporting weight with the injured area
Circular external fixator
Intramedullary fixation
The affected area is elevated to lesen oedema
Patient to be assessed any signs of infection
Wound irrigation are started as soon as possible
