Continental Drift Theory

In Alfred Wegener's book, he explained that the continents were drifting across the Earth. The movement caused by this drifting was called a continental drift.
Wegener used his knowledge about biology, botany and geology to identify similarities between fossils, rocks and mountain ranges found in the different continents.

Lithosphere is the rigid, solid, outermost part of the earth. This includes the upper crust and the mantle.
