Septic Arthritis, refers to the infection of the joints through the spread of pathogens from other parts of the body.

Medical management
Broad-spectrum IV antibiotics started promptly changed to organism specific antibiotics after culture results.
Joint should be immobilized early, followed by early physiotherapy to prevent stiffness and muscle wasting.

Nursing management
Educate the patient and family about the septic Arthritis, physiologic and healing process.
Explain the importance of supporting the affected joint, adhering to the prescribed antibiotic regimen.
