Offload hatching eggs into the sorting room according to PPM and
hatching egg handling guidelines
• Sanitize their hands or wear gloves whenever handling eggs
• Be free from communicable diseases
• Handle eggs with care
• Avoid wetting the eggs
Dispose rejected eggs with due regard to
environmental protection regulations

Store fumigated eggs
Observe and adhere to hatchery biosecurity measures
Fumigate sorted and accepted eggs in the fumigation chamber
Store fumigated eggs at a temperature of between 12oC and 18oC awaiting setting

Enter number of eggs received, source, type and date received into the hatchery inventory record
Enter number of eggs broken on reception, rejected, accepted / stored into the hatchery inventory record
