  - - - Platelets are attracted to wounds and start to stick to the surface of the wounds, then with the help of a protein called fibrogen, the platelets stick together tightly and stick some blood cells also to make a tight seal.
      - Blood clots help to prevent germs from enetering into blood vessels during an injury and they also help to prevent excess blood from escaping the body.
