Video Games
Video games are very important to my life because they help me stay calm and free my mind.In conclusion these games have taught me that I can be different from others without worrying about being embarrassed.

Teacher
Ms. Priego was my eighth grade teacher who challenged me like no other teacher had before. She was a strict teacher who did not give the best grades on good work.Ms. Priego taught me that I could do better even if I think I reached my limitations.

Family
My whole family grew up poor in the Philippines. Their parents were barely able to provide for them so they had to figure out ways to care for themselves.My family has taught me to stay humble.

Christmas
Every Christmas since I was little my family and I would always have a small prayer service together. This tradition has taught me to be able to thank God not only ask for things from him. This tradition makes me appreciate what I have.

Every Easter my family and I would always go to mass and go to a nice lunch together. This tradition has taught me to be thankful for family and friends.

Cooking
I started to get into cooking when I was in 5th grade. I experimented with many different dishes and would ask my parents if I could cook them dinner. Cooking has taught me to be creative and to be independent.

When highschool started I was challenged and pushed to my absolute limit. I had to work the hardest I have had to in order to make the team and play in games. Basketball has taught me that I can push myself to do better even though I think I reached my limits.

Ramon was the first person to introduce me to a binder and organize all my papers. He taught me to stay organized not only in school but also in life. For example, to this day I like to keep my room and study area clean, because it makes me feel organized and clean.

Grandma
My grandma was a single mother basically her whole life. She was a super strong woman who worked 3 jobs in order to support her children. My grandma was able to move to the US and raise my mom and her siblings into great people. My grandma has taught me that hard work and dedication really does pay off.
