Grandmother
My middle school basketball coach taught me so much about responsibility while I was on the team. Even now that I'm no longer on the team, he still looks out for me.
My grandmother had immigrated to the US from South Korea. I have learned from her to never be shy or ashamed of my background and to embrace it instead. It helps me to relate with others who have a similar background.
My parents raised me from a baby and have the largest influence on me. They taught me so many lessons about kindness and respect that I follow today.
My great grandparents have always been loving no matter what. They are the most welcoming people to any new friends or family they meet. I do my best to follow them in welcoming any new friends with open arms.
My parish has given me a sense of community and family within itself. Being catholic, it also contributes to my religious beliefs that I hold today.
My family takes a yearly trip up to Lake Tahoe during the summer. It gives us time to grow closer as a family and spend some time in nature. It helps to put my family at the forefront of my life.
Playing baseball has provided me with a Happy place in dark times of my life. My team has also grown into a brotherhood as we all work together to get better.
In my freshman year, Mr. Gonzalez really pushed me to be a better student. With his large amounts of homework, he gave me advice on fixing my time management and avoiding procrastination.
My godson has been a giant part of my life. He is somebody that I always want to set a good example for. All of the moral lessons i have learned, I reflect back onto him.
Music has always been something i turn to when i get stressed or need to clear my mind. Whether its making music or listening to it, it always calms me. My taste in music has come from many of the people I've met and know through my life.
