Variables
-
-
Eg. income, age, brand awarness, customer satisfaction
It doesnt have to be quantifiable. Eg. gender, nationality
-
-
-
MRP
-
Theres no single right MRP, as long as its sensible and appropriate to the research context
-
-
Approach to the Problem
Analytical model
Analytical (graphical) models are visual. They are used to isolate variables and to suggest directions of relationships (components to outcomes) but are not designed to provide numerical results (eg. Awarness leads to understanding or evaluation leads to preference leads to patronage)
Mathematical models
They explicitly specify the relationships among variables, usually in equation form (relationships of components with outcomes)
Research Question
-
-
Each MRP component has several RQs. MRP components can be broken down to more specific variables. Each of these could affect the outcome

Research design
It is the blueprint of how you are going to conduct the research project. It details the procedures necessary for obtaining the informtion needed to structure or solve marketing research problems
Think of it as a different research methods/resources to help you answer your research questions (eg. conducting surveys, experimenting)
