Art: has many purposes, within biographical work the art is used to help aid or portray themselves to other people (eg. the use of art to create emotion, feeling, aesthetics)
an artworks' broader meaning or purpose is generally for emotional/intellectual stimulation or aesthetic beauty, to create and portray the meanings of the artist
Art is influenced by the consumer’s own meaning, and is a combination of both creation and interpretation: it doesn’t exist in a vacuum to be enjoyed and observed by just the artist.
The intention/ meaning created by the artist influences the way art is created and potentially perceived.
