Phathophysiology
microorganisms spread intra-abdominally, traveling from the cervix to the endometrium through the salpinx, and into the peritoneal cavity.
through the lymphatic system, such as infection of the parametrium from an intra-uterine dEvice (IUD)
through hematogenous route, such as with tuberculosis, although this is rare.

Treatment
give ceftriaxone (250 mg IMI), Metronidazole 500 mg and Doxcycline 100mg both orally twice per day. to fight infection and the offensive discharge.
