Plant structure and function, Plant - Coggle Diagram
Plant structure and function
Seeds: Seeds provide food for the developing embryo and that is called method of sexual reproduction.
leaves: leaves is a spot where photosynthesis occur
Flowers: Flowers is site that reproduction occur.
Stems: Stems provide nutrients and support the plant
Roots: Roots help provide support by anchoring the plant and absorbing water and nutrients needed for growth.
shoot system: The shoot is the production center for a plant. It is the organ system that gives rise to stems, leaves, and flowers. Therefore, the shoot system is functionally responsible for food production (photosynthesis) and reproduction.
Roots sytem:
Anchoring of the plant to the soil.
Absorption of water and nutrients from the soil.
Conduction of absorbed water and nutrients to stem.
Storage of food.
plant cell:
The nucleus controls and regulates the activities of the cell (e.g., growth and metabolism) and carries the genes, structures that contain the hereditary information.
Cell membranes protect and organize cells.
..Chloroplasts are plant cell organelles that convert light energy into relatively stable chemical energy
All of the functions for cell expansion, growth and replication are carried out in the cytoplasm of a cell.
plant producer: photosynthesis: carbon dioxide ,water, glucose and oxygen.
Plant
Pollination Transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma
self pollination: transfer of pollen on the same plant
Cross pollination: transfer of pollen from another of one plant to stigma of another plant of the same species
fertilizations: process where male gametes with femalle gametes to produce zygote
seed dispersal: spreads seeds away from parent plant
