SULPINGECTOMY
Pre operative care
Allow patient to express feeling and classify incase of questions
Educate patient about other ways of having children include adoption.
Reassure patient that pain will be controlled by anesthesia
Advice patient to do perianal care for infection prevention
Inform patient to not take anything 6 hours before procedure
Empty patient's bladder prior surgery
Involve family prior surgery to provide emotional support
COMPLICATIONS
bleeding post operatively
pain post operatively
complications due to anaesthesia
Infection post operatively
Infertility
post operative care
Early ambulation is encouraged
Allow patient to have time to rest and sleep
Report any abnormalities
Avoid straining activities
Administer prescribed analgesics
INDICATIONS
Ovarian cancer
Infected fallopian tubes
Ectopic pregnancy
Tubal cancer
Contraindications
Severe cardiovascular disease as its prohibit general anasthesia
Repeated salpingectomy
Uncorrectable coagulopathy
Severe adhesion stage
DEFINATION
Refers to complete surgical removal of unilateral or bilateral fallopian tubes.
It is the surgical removal of the fallopian tubes
