        They heard the words of Allah with their own ears but declared it was not enough, they said " O Mūsā, we will never believe you till we see Allah openly!” 2:55
      - Allah's wrath fell upon them, a thunderbolt struck them, and they all died
        
        Mûsâ عليه السلام stood up crying and supplicating to Allah, `O Lord! What should I say to the Children of Israel when I go back to them after You destroyed the best of them. If it had been Your will, You could have destroyed them and me before; would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us?
        
        as His favour, Allah brought them back to life

        Allah punished them for this disobedience
        
        Even in this punishment, Allah made a miraculous provision for all their needs as a favour. Free from the struggle for a livelihood, they could devote themselves entirely to carrying out Allah’s commandments

        8. sent down Al-Manna and As Salwa on you
        
        Manna - honeydew - an alternative for grain which they got without any efforts for cultivation and harvest. it would fall upon the Bani Israi'l like dew from dawn until sunrise, they would wake up and collect them from the surfaces, enough for that particular day
        
        Salwa - Quail birds which came in big numbers and could be easily caught without any hunting efforts for eating
        
        10. twelve separate springs of water for each tribe of Bani Israi'l to avoid water disputes among the clans
        
        Moses prayed for water for his people and We replied: “Strike the rock with your staff.” And there gushed out from it twelve springs. ayah 60
        
        7. shaded you with clouds
        
        in the Sinai peninsula where there was no shelter from the heat of the sun
        
        they spent forty years wandering about in the wilderness of Tih, a barren space without a tree or a building which could offer protection against heat or cold. There was no farmland to provide food.

        وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَـهُمْ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَـلَمِينَ
        And We chose them (the Children of Israel) over the `Alamin, (nations) with knowledge 44:32

    - - It refers to the period of human history when, of all nations, only the Children of Israel possessed that knowledge of Truth which comes from Allah alone.
      - The Muslim Ummah are the best and most honored according to Allah.
        
        كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ
        You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind (3:110)
- - - - O you who believe! لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لاَ تَفْعَلُونَ Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is to Allah that you say that which you do not do. 61:2-3

        The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and cast into the Hellfire, and his intestines will pour forth in Hell. He will go around them as a donkey around a millstone. The people of Hell will gather around him and say: What has happened to you? Were you not enjoining good and forbidding evil? He will say: Of course, I used to enjoin good but I did not practice it myself, and I used to forbid evil but I practiced it myself.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3094, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2989

  - - - Allah asks them to realize that it is in His mercy alone that he has not destroyed them as He destroyed the past nations who rebelled
      - Having faith in Prophet Muhammad ﷺ's prophethood is also a part of the Covenant your forefathers took, if you deny it, you too will be included among those who have overturned the pledge.
    - - :warning: Don't make the same mistakes in your attitude and actions
- - - - Before the advent of the Prophet (peace be on him) the 3 Jewish tribes who lived on the outskirts of Madina had concluded an alliance with the Arab tribes of Aws and Khazraj. When the Arab tribes fought against one another each Jewish tribe fought on the side of its allies. although the Jews were prohibited from killing each other according to clear religious texts in their Books. They would also drive each other from their homes and loot whatever furniture and money they could. When the war ended, the victorious Jews would release the prisoners from the defeated party, according to the rulings of the Torah.

- - - - The Hadith says that if these people had obeyed Allah's commandment without raising so many doubts and asking unnecessary questions, such strict condition would not have been imposed on them, and the sacrifice of any cow whatsoever would have been accepted.

- - - - this was pointless, as Allah Himself had, on different occasions, informed the Muslims in the Holy Qur'an of the testimony of the Torah regarding the Final Messenger ﷺ

        They broke their pledge and their covenant to observe the sanctity of the Sabbath and began using deceitful means to avoid honoring the Sabbath by placing nets, ropes and artificial pools of water for the purpose of fishing before the Sabbath. When the fish came in abundance on Saturday as usual, they were caught in the ropes and nets for the rest of Saturday. During the night, the Jews collected the fish after the Sabbath ended. .

        Allah turned them into monkeys

        to be free of blame before Allah that they did their duty

        Allah saved them
      - did not participate in sin but completely distanced themselves from the sinners
        
        harshly judged the wrongdoers
        
        Allah will destroy them
        
        Allah will punish them
