The Attribute function
The attribute is a function of traditional syntax. It is a syntagma that accompanies copulative verbs (ser, estar and parecer in Spanish) and refers at the same time to the subject, with which it agrees in gender and number.
Attributive adjacents
Of the subject: Attributive adjacents appear in other circumstances. Together with verbs that are not copulative, there may be an adjacent term of characteristic pairs, that is, varying in number and gender, agreeing with the number of the verb and with the number and gender of the explicit subject.
Attributive Sentences
Attributive sentences cannot stand alone and, for meaning purposes, they merge with the nominal predicate.
