nationalism: support for nation becomes a duty and more important than concern for individuals welfare, it's aims is making the nation more powerful and richer
militarism: country should maintain a strong army, navy and airforce to promote and defend national interests agressively, glorfies military ideals
impact of the treaty on British opinion
at first many British thought the treaty was being fair on Germany, later on with the depression they began to realize it had been too harsh, they believed that the Nazi Party led by Hitler was a reasonable response to the treaty and felt responsible for the treaty so tried to help Germany get a revision for it.
impact of the treaty on French opinion
French believed the treaty wasn't harsh enough and wanted to weaken Germany permanently, when it became clear that Hitler was going to ignore the treaty they built a Maginot Line to stop another German invasion and worked with Britain for a revision of the Treaty.
