Business Management
Nature of subject
Is a rigourus, challenging and dynamic discipline focused on the role of business.
Business management studies the decision-making in contemporary contexts within a business. It studies how decisions can influence a business and obviously how to manage it with the best decisions.
Course emphasized into 4 parts:
HR (Human Resources)
Operations
Finance and accounts
Marketing
TOK (Theory of Knowledge)
Study the interactions between humans and their environment in time and place.
We are encouraged to solve and compute some of the knowledge questions
Known as CUEGIS
Change: Questions are mainly focused on the decisions that we as humans take in order to change the world or in this case, business.
Culture: Questions are focused on the analysis between culture and decisions over business. We have to check how the culture can influence the mind of people.
Ethics: Questions will make us compute an answer for how our moral and ethicals are shown in our decisions. More of a psychological analysis.
Globalization: Questions will make us think, how the world is becoming even closer to our hands? We need to see how globalization is changing our planet and lives.
Innovation: Questions are focused on the power that our brain and capacities have. The relationship between this topic and our strengths and weaknesses.

Assessment in the Diploma Program:
The main goal is that it should support curricular goals and encourage appropriate student learning. To give students passion for this course. And it is divided into 2 types.
-Formative assessment: Informs both teaching and learning. Provides truthful and accurate feedback to students and teachers on the learning part in order to improve. Taking into account the students´weaknesses and strengths. It provides a monitor progress.
-Summative assessment: Gives an overview of previous learning and is focused on measuring student achievement.
