Are there many educated yet unemployed youth in our country? - Yes

How it would affect the individual and the country's economy? (Consequences)
Lesser people working and earning, affecting the economy and GDP
Prevent progress
Lower employment rates in future
High competition in job market & overqualified applicants for minor jobs
Work as labour despite being qualified for different work
Lower income than what had been expected with education
Not enough income and money for individual to take care of needs and progress
Lower living standards for upcoming youth, unable to pay for big expenses eg: hospital fees, unable to pay taxes, unable to cover other expenses
Inability to repay student debt
Pressure from family
Social and political conflict
Overpopulation - Less availability of jobs
Their technical education & required skills are not up to industry standards, thus there is a lack of skilled manpower
Increasing use of machinery, leading to lesser requirement of manpower
Corruption/Bribery or bias in employment due to status, caste, religion, class, etc
Not enough focus on implementing laws and making job opportunities, more emphasis on providing large scale mediocre education
Belief that college education and degrees is the only requirement for a job today
