CARP Principles
Contrast
Contrast is when two or more things are juxtaposed against each other to work in unison. In the website this will be used to attract attention of users by effectively drawing there eyes to the page while also to help create a focal point which is easy to follow
Alignment
Alignment is used to unify and organize the website. Alignment helps the website to appear clean and therefore the message is better communicated.
Repetition
Repetition is used to unite and fuse the page together. By having a consistent page it is easy to find information and follow.
Proximity
Proximity refers to the relation of items when near each other and then two or more items are in close proximity they are often perceived as belonging to each other but when separated they are seen as disconnected. it is also important to leave space from page borders and follow the rest of the carp principles to use proximity effectively.
